- ➤ East St. Tammany Habitat for Humanity will host its annual Builders Ball on Jan. 16 in Slidell to honor volunteer builders & celebrate community resilience after homes were rebuilt following vandalism. The Times-Picayune

- ➤ This spring, the Covington Public Art Fund will transform local streets into an outdoor gallery with 15 bronze statues — created by Seward Johnson II — to be displayed in Covington, Slidell, Mandeville, Madisonville and Abita Springs, with a sneak peek event planned before April. - ➤ Anthony Corredine will serve as grand marshal atop a float on Feb. 8 during the Dionysus parade in Slidell, tossing throws and taking a break from his busy work schedule while supported by STARC + his brother. The Times-Picayune
