- ➤ Carla Tate, executive director of Tangi Tourism, was elected vice chair of the Louisiana Travel Association after its Annual Meeting at City Club in River Ranch, where tourism leaders were selected to advance industry efforts. AN17

- ➤ Northshore Technical Community College received a Chevron grant to boost STEM enrichment for middle schoolers and launch a maritime training course that will equip local job-seekers for Maritime careers in St. Tammany Parish. AN17

- ➤ Last night, Poseidon & Krewe Du Vieux braved bitter cold parade weather in Slidell as temperatures dropped through the low 30s with wind chills in the 20s to teens. North winds of 10 to 15 mph gusted early before easing later in the evening. WDSU

- ➤ Northlake Christian junior high boys soccer team finished its season with a record of 11-1-2 and remained undefeated in Northshore Independent Athletic League play for a fourth season—scoring 75 goals with key contributions from Aiden McClellan, Cam Majorie and Phoenix Keene. The Times-Picayune
