  • Eyrie Dance and Tumbling energizes Mystic Krewe of Femme Fatale parade today (highlighting local dance talent) and brings a festive spirit to the community in Slidell.  WWL-TV
  • Hynes-Parkview Marching Huskies team up with Mystic Krewe of Femme Fatale to perform along a route that includes Gallier Hall. The event highlights creative spirit and musical talent in our community.  WWL-TV
  • Frederick A. Douglass High School Marching Bobcats marched with Mystic Krewe of Femme Fatale in a local parade — a festive display of school spirit and community pride in Slidell today.  WWL-TV

SPORTS NEWS

  • Holy Cross beat Belle Chasse 5-0 in their Division 2 playoff opener on Feb. 8, showing strong play that may set the tone for upcoming local matchups.  FOX 8
  • Salmen's junior Kendal Thomas scored her 1,000th career point during a win against Chalmette earlier this week, joining teammate Akayla McMooian who reached the mark in December. The team will prepare for a crucial rematch against Slidell on Feb. 12 that may affect postseason seeding.  The Times-Picayune
  • Hannan linebacker Greyson Dupre will join Division III Millsaps College in Jackson next season after earning All-District honors. Dupre, who started playing football in eighth grade, said Millsaps has supported him since recruiting began in January.  The Times-Picayune
