- ➤ Local community members supported inclusion on World Down Syndrome Day by donning colorful socks + sharing messages of acceptance. The celebration took place at local venues to promote awareness and unity among residents. FOX 8
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Lab tests by the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries show that a juvenile female great blue heron nicknamed the Goth Heron, found dead at Davis Landing on Jan. 5, died from emaciation, a parasite infection, and petroleum-based chemical exposure (which matted its feathers and reduced its warmth). SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Fontainebleau bounced back from a loss with a 6-0 win over Slidell on Saturday, March 21, led by sophomore Tanner Conley who struck out 12 batters and allowed only one hit. The Bulldogs proved strong with efficient pitching and committed defense during the shutout. The Times-Picayune
