- ➤ Three teens from Slidell were charged with first degree murder after Sgt. Grant Candies, a veteran deputy, was killed early Sunday while deploying a spike strip on I-10 near the Oak Harbor exit; Adrian Waughtal faces additional charges of aggravated flight and attempted murder while two other teens are charged for his death.
