- ➤ At a Tuesday meeting, residents in a Slidell community raised health concerns after attorney Lance Unglesby found high mold levels in 120 DR Horton homes in Lakeshore Villages; he urged homeowners to use a hydrometer if indoor humidity climbs above 60%. WDSU
- ➤ Dr. John Carlson of Ochsner Health warns that oak pollen is driving allergy symptoms in local residents as wind spreads allergens this spring — local drugstores offer intranasal steroids to ease symptoms. Treatment is available until grass pollen rises. Louisiana Radio Network
- ➤ STHS opened its new Cardiology Center yesterday in Covington (located across South Tyler from the parish hospital) with a ribbon-cutting attended by health officials. The 22,000 sqft facility will offer focused outpatient heart care and is set to see its first patients by the end of March. AN17
