Governor Jeff Landry said Casey took on a tough job with an old system and that a new system is planned but may take two and a half years to install—officials hope the upgrade will improve services. - ➤ Dan Casey resigned as head of the Office of Motor Vehicles after computer issues made it hard for residents to get or renew licenses. Gov. Jeff Landry said he will name an Interim Secretary soon as work continues to fix the old system—prompting a state of emergency due to the disruptions. WWL-TV
