- ➤ City leaders in Slidell are pushing to repair the Highway 11 Bridge after several fatal accidents — the family of a man killed last November is calling for action as the city awaits a Congressional funding decision in July that may speed up repairs. WDSU

- ➤ St. Tammany Library announced that its limited edition 75th anniversary card—featuring art by longtime patron Elizabeth Marcks and inspired by Louisiana culture—will be available this summer while supplies last. The library is also hosting its Food for Fines program during National Library Week, waiving $1 per nonperishable food or pet item donated to support local banks. The Times-Picayune

- ➤ Fewer Louisiana students received TOPS scholarships in 2024 as recipient numbers hit a 10-year low and eligible students increasingly turned down the awards—state lawmakers will introduce bills this month to raise award amounts and expand eligibility.
