- ➤ Grammy-winning zydeco artist Corey Ledet joined Seth and Doug after his FQF set to share his view on the high-energy performance and highlight the vibrant zydeco sound for local music fans. WWL-TV
- ➤ Marlon Williams from Chicken’s Kitchen joined Seth and Doug at FQF today — sharing his debut experience serving N’awlins staples during the festival. WWL-TV
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Starting in the fall, all 55 Tammany Parish public schools will have a 7-hour day—with high schools opening at 7:25 a.m. and staggered schedules adjusted (by adding or subtracting a few minutes) to fit bus routes. The School Board also approved posting the Ten Commandments in every classroom in line with state law, with one dissenting vote. The Times-Picayune

- ➤ Mayor Moreno issued a statement today after a sewer main break began dumping wastewater into the Industrial Canal, and officials are monitoring the situation for further action. WWL-TV
