- ➤ Audubon Aquarium Rescue is treating four sea turtles affected by oil, including three green sea turtles and one juvenile Kemp’s ridley, at the West Bank Audubon Aquatic Center. - ➤ St. Tammany Parish is using sales tax revenue to fund projects that reduce flooding risks in vulnerable parts of the community. Officials say the measures will support improvements over the coming months + help protect residents during heavy rains. FOX 8
- ➤ State lawmakers are discussing new bills — House Bill 1187 and Senate Bill 299 — to expand the fortified roof program aimed at helping more homeowners protect their properties ahead of hurricane season.
