- ➤ Mandeville resident Elizabeth Lewis won the contest to design the special America 250 library card from St. Tammany Parish Library, with 2,500 limited edition cards available starting in July; her detailed design reflects patriotism as the library rolls out related events including book clubs and patriotic performances. - ➤ Southeastern Louisiana University held its annual honors convocation on May 5 in Hammond to recognize top arts, humanities and social sciences graduates. The event honored students statewide & internationally, including Slidell winners Lily McKean and Sophia Maranto. AN17
- ➤ On May 5, Southeastern Louisiana University’s College of Business held its convocation in Hammond — honoring students from several parishes with awards for business achievements.
