- ➤ Memorial Day events take place across the metro area (including ceremonies in Orleans, Jefferson, St. Bernard, and St. Tammany parishes) to honor fallen service members. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The Senate finance committee approved a budget on Thursday that cuts the $2,000 stipends for teachers and $1,000 for support staff, meaning educators in our area will face lower pay next school year.
