Here's your local news at a glance for Monday, the 26th of May.
Good morning, Slidell.
🏘️ Community
Today, widespread outages from a load shed left more than 100,000 people without power on the Northshore and Southshore.
Entergy crews are restoring power while Toup's Meatery opened a cooling space — a move that helped many beat the summer heat — and Greek Fest celebrations were briefly interrupted.
🏥 Health
St. Tammany Health System opened a stand-alone clinic along Louisiana 21 at Money Hill last month—marking a key milestone as the facility now offers family medicine, urgent care, lab work and X-rays.
Local leaders say the new clinic signals further residential growth and ties in with planned developments and upcoming highway projects.
