- ➤ The Hammond Northshore Regional Airshow will take place October 11-12 at Hammond Northshore Regional Airport to honor Louisiana’s aviation legacy—featuring aerial performances, heritage flyovers and a Kids Zone with STEM activities. AN17

- ➤ Candidates will sign up this week for Slidell’s special mayor’s race on Oct. 11—Bill Borchert, who became mayor when Cromer resigned, and Police Chief Randy Fandal, who is term limited.
