- ➤ The St. Tammany Parish Mosquito Abatement said twenty mosquito pools tested positive for West Nile virus in June, which is three times the number from last year, with infected mosquitoes collected in Covington, Mandeville, and Slidell—officials are increasing spraying in the area. WDSU
