- ➤ Slidell will welcome its first production brewery when Wicked Bayou Brewing opens by the end of the year on city-owned property along Bayou Bonfouca. Raymond Masker III, Scott McCain & Steve Bagwell plan a taproom in a renovated building with overflow parking and an outdoor event space to support local restaurants. WDSU
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Slidell City Council expanded the Northshore Square Economic Development District to include more stores and land to help fund a future purchase of the nearly empty North Shore Square Mall—located at Northshore Boulevard and Interstate 12. Officials said they will decide on the exact tax rates later as they study ways to redevelop the mall and give the city control over the property. The Times-Picayune
