Tropical Depression Two is moving toward southeast Louisiana where it may become a tropical storm before landfall, but the National Hurricane Center says strong upper-level winds & dry air will likely keep it from reaching hurricane strength.

The USDA FNA approved a waiver that lets SNAP participants buy hot and prepared foods through August 13 after Tropical Storm Arthur disrupted local food access.

The waiver (it does not cover restaurant meals) helps ease meal preparation during the community's recovery.
