  • The New Orleans Police Department reported that seven-year-old Gregory Lazard III is missing from his home on Keubel Drive in Seabrook after his grandmother, Antoinette Edwards Johnson, took him without permission and was last seen in a 2018 red Toyota Corolla (724CAV); police ask anyone with information to call NOPD Seventh District detectives at 504-658-6070.  WDSU

  • Forecasters say a low-pressure system off northern Florida is moving into the Gulf and will bring rain to Louisiana today with showers likely into the weekend—rain totals should be lighter than last week’s downpours.  The Times-Picayune

  • Police Chief Randy Fandal & Interim Mayor Bill Borchert will participate in a public forum in Slidell to present their ideas for city leadership. The event will provide local voters with a clear view of each candidate's vision moving forward.  WWL-TV
  • Gov. Jeff Landry announced Wednesday that General Motors Insurance is setting up operations in Louisiana to help lower auto insurance rates and offer more options for drivers — the move follows his recent signing of the state's largest tort reform package and aims to reward safe driving while supporting local families.  WDSU

  • Saints training camp begins today as new head coach Kellen Moore and GM Mickey Loomis plan to let Jake Haener, Spencer Rattler, and Tyler Shough compete for the starting quarterback spot while stressing player development.
