- ➤ Firefighters in Slidell responded to an early Sunday I-10 crash — one car flipped off into brush and a second vehicle remained upside down near Gause Blvd — with one passenger extricated and four injured and taken to local hospitals. WWL-TV

- ➤ At around 3:15 a.m. Sunday, deputies responded to a car in a ditch on Bennett Road in Amite+ where they found a man shot to death+ and the victim remains unidentified as the sheriff's office investigates the crime. WDSU

- ➤ LouAnn and Braville Leblanc of Braville Drive received the Garden of the Month honor on August 8 from the Gardenettes for their memory garden that displays plants given by family members — a tribute to cherished family history.
