- ➤ On Tuesday night a fire severely damaged a home on Williams Drive in the Slidell area and all eight residents escaped unharmed while firefighters arrived soon after at 11:07 p.m. — investigators now work to determine its accidental cause. The Times-Picayune

- ➤ Jonshell Johnson of Grow Dat Youth Farm shows a documentary on how communities are getting stronger—and fairer 20 years after Katrina. The film explains how past hardships are now changing into hope for a better future. WWL-TV
- ➤ The Free Agents Brass Band will re-release its album Made It Through That Water on Friday to mark 20 years since Hurricane Katrina—honoring the band's legacy—and the album will be available for streaming and purchase next week. WWL-TV

- ➤ The National Hurricane Center is watching two tropical waves in the Atlantic’s Main Development Region—one near the Leeward Islands with a 60% chance of forming a depression later this week and another off Africa with a 40% chance of development.
