Today, Slidell hosted a second-line parade and ceremony that honored the community's perseverance after Hurricane Katrina—local leaders and residents expressed pride in moving forward together.

On Aug. 29, Tulane beat Northwestern 23-3 in its season opener while wearing green helmets and uniforms to honor the 20th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina.
