- ➤ Week 3 of the LHSAA football season saw wins for teams from St. Paul's, Lakeshore, Covington, Mandeville, Salmen and Fontainebleau. Riverdale beat PJP II with four turnovers, Catholic-PC edged Hannan with a late score, and Fontainebleau ran for 409 yards to win while Salmen earned its first victory through strong play—showing busy local football action. - ➤ Noah Watson, a three-time state champion from Christ Episcopal, is preparing for her senior season as she trains to win a fourth state title and pursue college opportunities. Coach Chad Hunt said she shows quiet leadership and dedication while running between 30 to 34 miles each week—her focus remains on her goal. The Times-Picayune
- ➤ Tulane played at Oxford and lost to Ole Miss by a score of 45—10 as the team struggled on offense. The Green Wave ended nonconference play at 3—1 and will face Tulsa next in the American Conference. WWL-TV
