➤ Students at Courtney Christian School led prayers during See You at the Pole on Thursday, uniting to pray for community revival and school support in the annual Global Day of Prayer that began in 1990 — Hammond Police Chief Edwin Bergeron joined the event and urged students to share their faith publicly. SPORTS NEWS

➤ During Week 4 of the LHSAA football season, Slidell, Northshore, Pope John Paul II, Salmen, Lakeshore and St. Paul’s all won their games—teams secured key plays and turnovers in matchups played on September 25 and 26.
