- ➤ Southeastern Louisiana University Theatre in Hammond is marking 20 years since Hurricane Katrina with a new play called Katrina's Path by Rob Florence at the renovated D Vickers Hall. The show, directed by Dr. Anne-Liese Juge Fox and featuring local actors such as Slidell’s C.J. Chambers, runs 90 minutes + opens the new D Vickers Studio 1048, the venue's first show since Hurricane Ida. AN17

- ➤ St. Tammany Quality Network announced that Dr. Christine Thurston won the Northshore Medical Director’s Award for Q3 for her excellent care at the Mandeville clinic—she met all her quality scorecard goals and received strong patient reviews over nearly five years with the health system. AN17

- ➤ Jeffrey Curtis from John Curtis was named Friday Night Football Scholar-Athlete of the Week after earning a 4.0 GPA and playing as an All-State linebacker with a 25 ACT score. He ranks as the top student in his graduating class and his father—Jeff Curtis, the offensive coordinator—has shaped his passion for math and football as he leaves his college plans undecided. WGNO
- ➤ During Week 5 of the LHSAA football season, St. Tammany teams on Thursday and Friday posted wins as Chalmette, Hannan, Northlake Christian, Pope John Paul II and University relied on key drives and turnovers to secure victories—each game featuring standout plays that set the stage for upcoming contests.
