  • A $200,000 Easy 5 lottery ticket sold in Slidell remains unclaimed after the winning drawing on Sept. 27. The ticket—sold at Stop 2 Shop at 580 Robert Blvd—carries a prize of $223,475 and must be claimed by March 26.  WGNO

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The Louisiana Office of Tourism has launched the Hot Sauce Trail to promote local attractions and food events as part of the Year of Food campaign. Lt. Governor Billy Nungesser said the digital trail features stops like touring Tabasco on Avery Island and special tasting events at restaurants—encouraging visitors to explore Louisiana’s spicy side.  Louisiana Radio Network
  • St. Tammany Parish will launch a $1 million cleanup on Jan. 1 to remove 16 abandoned boats from waterways including the Tchefuncte River, Pearl River, Bayou Liberty and Bayou Lacombe—officials say the project will boost public safety and protect wetland habitats with help from NOAA and a local environmental firm.  The Times-Picayune

  • Louisiana health officials warned residents against using cheaper unlicensed Botox alternatives after noting that about 5 million people safely receive the treatment each year. They advise citizens to choose licensed options to ensure they receive safe procedures.  WWL-TV
