The Rotary Club of Slidell is hosting a Purple4Polio campaign on Oct.
23 to raise funds and awareness for global polio vaccination. The event starts at 2 p.m. at City Hall garden fountain and continues with gatherings in Olde Towne and Triangle Square.
St. Tammany Health Services is hosting an open house and recruitment fair Oct.
22, 3–7 p.m. at the Parish Hospital’s conference center, 1202 S. Tyler St. in Covington. Visitors can meet recruiters, interview for Environmental Services, and receive a free health screening (also learn about the Nurse Residency Program).
