- ➤ Southeastern Grocers announced that it will sell its last 13 Louisiana Winn-Dixie stores and exit the market by the end of 2025 as it rebrands to focus on Florida. Two Baton Rouge stores will be sold to Brookshire Grocery Co.—they will close on Nov. 16 and reopen later that week as Super 1 Foods with all employees offered jobs. WWL-TV
- ➤ Winn-Dixie will sell its 13 remaining Louisiana grocery stores as it shifts focus to Florida and southern Georgia markets. The company reached deals to sell its two Baton Rouge stores at 8601 Siegen Lane and 13002 Coursey Blvd.—they will close on November 16 and reopen later that week as Super 1 Foods under Texas-based Brookshire Grocery Co., which plans to offer jobs to qualified Winn-Dixie employees. - ➤ Forbes has named Gayle Benson the most powerful woman in sports—she is the only owner of an NFL and NBA team after inheriting the Saints and Pelicans—with an estimated net worth of $7.9 billion. The Pelicans open their season today against the Memphis Grizzlies. WWL-TV
