- ➤ A New Orleans-based addiction treatment company opened a 30-bed facility in Slidell that began accepting patients Monday — the location was converted from a former physical therapy center and offers both inpatient and outpatient programs. Founders Dan Forman and Chris Copeland built the center with king-size beds, Roku-ready TVs and warm chocolate chip cookies at bedtime — aiming to give patients a more welcoming recovery environment.
