  • South Louisiana businesses announced multiple leadership changes and new hires, including Morten Jensen as Port NOLA COO and Darryl Canon as Hyatt Regency hotel manager, while Boys Town Louisiana and the Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities added new board members. Other appointments include a new team of associate deans at Xavier Ochsner College of Medicine, health care providers at DePaul Community Health Centers, and Seth Gold as Medicaid director for the Louisiana Department of Health—efforts that promise to bolster regional expertise.  The Times-Picayune

CULTURE NEWS

  • St. Tammany artists and arts patrons gathered on November 20 at the River Mill Event Center to honor this year’s best in performing, visual, literary, musical, and culinary arts and to present special awards for service, lifetime achievement, and the President’s award.   • St. Tammany Parish Library is hosting holiday events for all ages this December with Santa visits at Folsom on Dec. 3, Lee Road on Dec. 4, and Lacombe on Dec. 9—craft parties and teen events are also planned—while nearby Slidell Library holds a used book sale on Dec. 5—6, a Dungeons and Dragons event and a book signing by Joy E.
