- ➤ Gregory Langham, a Rotarian and new co-chair for Feeding the Needy, is updating the campaign to supply Christmas meals to more than 1,500 families during the holiday break. The fundraiser luncheon will be held Dec 9 at Saint Paul’s School Brigg’s Center from noon to 1 p.m. — Lt. Gov. Billy Nungesser will speak and the effort builds on a 23-year campaign started by John Baldwin. The Times-Picayune
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ For the second consecutive year, students in St. Tammany Parish Public Schools earned the highest average ACT score among Louisiana districts—scoring 20.4, well above state and national averages. School leaders credit the strong performance to dedicated teachers—supporting students along with their families and the community. The Times-Picayune

- ➤ Lt. Gov. Billy Nungesser announced on Facebook that British content creators Josh and Jase have been named official Louisiana ambassadors after their viral food tour in May covering Shreveport, Lake Charles and Lafayette—he said they gave viewers a clear look at local food, culture and hospitality. He also invited locals to suggest which Mardi Gras parades the duo should visit next year. The Times-Picayune

- ➤ Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center has welcomed Ralph Corsetti, MD, as its new surgical oncologist—he brings over 25 years of experience and will practice at the Breast Surgery Clinic in Covington. AN17
- ➤ WWL & Audacy stations are partnering with Manning Family Children’s for the 5th annual Light Up The Season Radiothon to support life-saving programs operated by 3,000 employees & 600 pediatric specialists at 30 locations.
