- ➤ Due to bad weather, Manning Family Children's parade will now start Sunday at 12:30 p.m. along local streets — it will feature 30 floats, eight balloons, marching bands, and a livestream option for children unable to attend, and will honor three young warriors. WWL-TV

- ➤ Cartoonist Walt Handelsman, known for decades of Louisiana storytelling, is retiring as WWL-TV revisits his 2014 segment that shows his creative process — his award-winning cartoons have long captured the local imagination. WWL-TV
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Louisiana’s Department of Wildlife and Fisheries is now collecting fish earbones from local anglers to help assess the age and health of fish stocks. The otoliths reveal key habitat and growth data and can be provided voluntarily at the dock during fishing trips—an easy, safe process that leaves fillets intact. The Times-Picayune
