- ➤ DEA officials at their Metairie headquarters on Monday reported that a joint effort by Hammond + Slidell police and several parish sheriffs has lowered fentanyl overdose deaths by as much as 70% on the north shore, and they plan to continue collaborating to save lives. AN17
