- ➤ The Northshore Harbor Center near Slidell hosted 140 events with 205 rented days this year; its board approved a 2026 budget of $1.57 million — nearly balanced with a $34,000 shortfall. - ➤ Volunteer clarinetist Michael Caswell and his family lead the Northshore Community Orchestra in a free Christmas concert set for Dec. 18 at 7 p.m. at the Slidell Auditorium, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. The Times-Picayune

- ➤ St. Tammany Parish Library is offering holiday programs for children and families including Santa visits at multiple branches (today to Dec. 20), craft sessions on Dec. 22-23, a used book sale in Covington on Dec. 19-20, and free access to ABCmouse and Adventure Academy to boost learning for school success. - ➤ Amanda Martin was elected president and Dennis Cousin vice president of the St. Tammany Parish School Board, with their one-year roles starting in January; the board also advanced committee appointments amid discussions over meeting changes. The Times-Picayune
- ➤ The Sewerage & Water Board's West Power Complex is now online to improve drainage reliability across the area during heavy rains. Officials say the upgrade will help protect homes & reduce flooding risk. FOX 8

- ➤ District coaches announced the 2025 All-District Volleyball Teams for St. Tammany Parish schools—local players and coaches, including Slidell's Ava Labat and Coach Danny Tullis, were honored on first and second teams with MVP titles. The Times-Picayune
- ➤ St. Tammany Parish announced the 2025 St. Tammany Farmer All-Parish Swim Teams, celebrating four individual swimmers receiving Most Outstanding Swimmer honors and school teams keeping state titles.
