  • ➤ More than 50 cars were involved in a series of wrecks on the Causeway Bridge, with drivers advised to file insurance claims.  WDSU
  • ➤ A 30-year-old man from Slidell died in a crash after his vehicle left the roadway on Louisiana 1090 in St. Tammany Parish.  The Times-Picayune

  • ➤ The 25th annual Holiday of Lights gala in Koop Drive, featuring a children-led parade, kicked off the Christmas season on Dec. 6, with festive displays remaining through Dec. 31.  The Times-Picayune

  • ➤ Slidell's final Winn-Dixie store is set to close in February for renovations, reopening as an Aldi market as part of Aldi's U.S. expansion plan.  The Times-Picayune
