  • Laney King, cofounder of the Crawfish App, said that crawfish will be available for Christmas in Louisiana, though early-season critters are smaller & have tougher texture than usual. King advised local diners to manage their expectations.  WWL-TV

  • Lakeshore coach Brent Indest announced on Dec. 17 that he will leave after four seasons to take the head coach role at Abbeville, where he began his career over 30 years ago — he will finish the school year to assist with the transition.  The Times-Picayune
