- ➤ Renowned chef Nealy Frentz will ride on Louisiana’s float in the Tournament of Roses Parade (New Year's Day) in Pasadena. Chosen by (Visit the Northshore), she must be on the float by 5 a.m. The Times-Picayune
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Louisiana State Police warn drivers statewide to expect heavy holiday traffic and dense fog today — motorists in Slidell should slow down and allow extra travel time. FOX 8
- ➤ St. Tammany Parish Tourist and Convention Commission approved Visit the Northshore’s $3.6 million budget for 2026 during a Dec. 11 meeting, outlining plans to boost tourism + support local businesses with enhanced marketing and a new 'Float Awhile' campaign. The budget will be effective Jan. 1 through Dec. 31. The Times-Picayune
